At St Mary's Bryanston Square CE Primary we actively promote healthy lifestyles and believe it is an important part of a child's life in ensuring access to a healthy and nutritious lunch.
Our school lunches are prepared daily on site in line with all government recommendations. Harrisons Catering provide our school lunches. Our menu offers both a meat and vegetarian option, (all meat is halal). Harrisons can also accommodate dietary requirements, as well as ensuring all children with allergies are able to have a hot school lunch. Please see the letter and forms towards the end of this page.
We encourage parents to take up the offer of our hot school lunches. All pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal. This is part of a government initiative called ‘Universal Free School Meals’.
Are you entitled to Free School Meals?
If you would like to apply for free school meals you can do this via Westminster City Council Website here:
Some pupils in Years 3 to 6 may be entitled to free school meals. You can check your eligibility of free school meals using the following link: https://pps.lgfl.org.uk
We encourage parents to check their eligibility for free school meals even if your child is still in EYFS and KS1.
If you are not entitled to free school meals, the cost of a school lunch is £2.35 per day or £11.75 per week, payable via the School Gateway App.
If you decide that your child will not have a hot school lunch, please send your child into school with a healthy packed lunch. Please give the school office two weeks’ notice of your intention to change your child’s meal plan. Any change must be for at least half a term.
If your child is on a packed lunch, please ensure it is in line with our school food policy. See below.
